Clean Thrifts Consignment Agreement

1. Overview

This agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Clean Thrifts (“Consignee”) and named Consignor for the purpose of selling pre-owned clothing and accessories on a consignment basis.

By submitting or sending items to Clean Thrifts, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Item Intake

  • Consignor will send items using Clean Thrifts’ prepaid shipping bag, or drop them off as directed.

  • Clean Thrifts will review all submitted items to ensure they meet our Consignment Clothing Criteria (quality, condition, authenticity, and resale potential).

  • Items that do not meet these standards may be donated or returned at the consignor’s expense.

3. Clothing Condition Criteria

All clothing must be in at least “good” condition before being accepted. Items must meet the following requirements:

  • No permanent stains, rips, or tears (unless purposely distressed)

  • No strong or irremovable odors (e.g., heavy smoke)

  • All zippers, buttons, and fasteners must be functional

  • Items must be clean, wearable, and ready for resale

Items that fail to meet these criteria may be donated or returned upon the sellers request, with shipping costs deducted from payout or billed to the consignor.

4. Ownership & Pricing

  • Items remain the property of the Consignor until sold.

  • Clean Thrifts reserves the right to set and adjust pricing based on current market trends, condition, and brand demand.

  • Clean Thrifts may run limited-time sales or promotions to help items sell faster.

5. Photography & Listing

Clean Thrifts will handle all listing activities, including:

  • Professional photography

  • Product descriptions and keywords

  • Customer service and shipping

Consignor agrees that all images and listings created by Clean Thrifts are the property of Clean Thrifts and may be reused for marketing or social media purposes.

6. Payout Structure

Consignor will receive payment after their item(s) sell, according to the payout structure

7. Payment Terms

  • Payouts are processed once per month via PayPal, Venmo, or store credit.

  • Clean Thrifts is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payment details provided by the consignor.

  • Items typically remain listed for 90 days. Unsold items after this period may be:

    • Returned upon request (shipping fees may apply), or

    • Donated to a local nonprofit partner.

  • A 5% restocking fee may be applied on requests to have items shipped back to the consignor before or after the 90-day listing period.

8. Liability

Clean Thrifts is not responsible for loss or damage due to shipping carrier errors, natural wear, or handling after items are received. Clean Thrifts takes reasonable care in storing and processing all consigned goods.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. Items pending sale or in transit will still be processed according to the terms above.

10. Agreement

By signing or submitting items, the consignor agrees to the terms of this consignment policy.
